Maintenance tips

Over the time, wood is subject to slow and slight colours’ changes, which are to be considered a natural evolution of the product. Kindly consider that old solid oak (W21, W32, W33, W34) is an “alive” material and for this reason it is affected by changes in temperature and humidity. This causes wood to “move”, meaning that the panel enlarges due to humidity and shrinks due to heat and dry air. Possible deformations due to changes in temperature and humidity are not to be considered defects but intrinsic characteristics of this type of material.

For the daily care of the product we suggest:
A. For wooden and metal parts: please treat them with a soft cloth dampened into a 2/3 water plus 1/3 denatured ethanol (for domestic use) solution. Do not use any other detergent or furniture polish/wax.

B. For mortar-look: use a laundry brush together with any mild or non- acid detergent; ordinary pencil’s erasers can be helpful too.

C. For plastic or Plexit (methacrylate) parts: please treat them with a soft cloth dampened into water.

D. For leather and split leather parts: please treat them with a soft cloth dampened into water and/or cleansing milk.

E. For polypropylene chairs: clean occasionally with mild soapy water. Aggressive detergents can scratch the surface of the product. Over time, exposure to light can alter the original colour of the product.
